Despite the dire predictions of doom and gloom by the club mascot Koko the Erina team surprised even that most negative of critics to do exceptionally well on Feb 2nd when the team from Erina competed at the Warringah open in Sydney. The results for our team were;
1. Hayden Crampton – 2nd in Cubs 2. Men’s Open Recurve – Erina 1st, 2nd, 3rd 3. Compound Team – Erina 3rd 4. Recurve Team – Erina 1st 5. Kelvin Heath – 1st Recurve Match Play Let this be a lesson for all. That when interviewing a dog, you get a dog of an interview. Woof !! Erina Archery Club will be hosting this year's National Indoor Championships which will be held across the weekend of the 20-21 July 2013.
This is a great opportunity for those who don't like to travel to tournaments to "dip their toe" and experience shooting under tournament rules against many of the country's top archers. You'll need to sign up for AA membership though. Also members will be needed to assist with the set up and good running of the tournament. Please STRONGLY consider helping out. We can't do it without you. As the field is flooded the shoot today has been cancelled as the water is flowing onto the field. The Yeardon shoot will now be held over only three Saturdays this year as a result.
