Members are reminded that the purpose of Sunday event is to enable those who can not shoot or choose not to shoot the Saturday event to be able to shoot an official club event. This should help with overcrowding on Saturday. It is not intended to enable members to shoot two events a week, one on Saturday and another on Sunday.
The safety and shoot rules for the Sunday event are the same for the Saturday event and the rounds shot are the same.
Members intending to shoot the Sunday event need to be at the club by 8:30am to assist with field setup. Practice ends commence at 9:00am and finish at 9:20am. Members who turn up after 8:30am will only be accommodated if there are spare spaces in the lanes already being setup for the event. i.e. additional event lanes will not be opened up for late comers.
Members who shoot the Sunday event will be given priority over those turn up late or just wish to practice. Those who wish to practice only on Sunday will have to fit in with those who are shooting the event and will have to shoot to the same timing if there is insufficient safety lanes to enable independent shooting. It is preferred if those who wish to practice only come after 12:00 noon as the event should be finished by them and normal mid-week shooting rules apply. Noting also that there may be a Beginners Course running on Sunday too and these too will be given priority over those wishing to practice or late comers.
Members must sign-on and Shoot fees are due for those who are not pre-paid and will be collected prior to shooting.
Scoring is the same as the Saturday event, i.e. Double sheet scoring applies. However the club tablets are not available on Sunday, so it is expected that members bring their own Android device with the Archers Scoresheet application installed or use another members device. Scores will only be entered into Archer’s Diary from the electronic devices. Completed electronic scoresheets can be sent to either David Robertson (vicepresident@erinaarcheryclub.com.au) or Sonia Crampton (recorder@erinaarcheryclub.com.au) as soon as possible after the event.
New members can shoot on Sunday but there will be no coach support available for them and they should not interrupt those who are shooting.
There is no canteen available on Sunday apart from drinks.
All the club equipment will be packed up once the Sunday shoot completes. Any club equipment taken out by other not involved in the Sunday event need to return the equipment to the club at the end of the Sunday event so that the club can be locked up. This includes faces, arrow fletching gig, arrow cutter, bow press, etc.
Thank you for your cooperation.
