Today CA took out first through third for all ages at the Northern FITA Star event.
Sorry to have to let you all know but my daughters are at a show jumping event this Saturday so can’t be there to run the canteen. I’m afraid you’ll have to look after yourselves this Saturday.
You can find details here ==> www.erinaarcheryclub.com.au/2016-answ-presentation-night.html
The committee today adopted a Social Media and a Photography Policy. These new policies are viewable from the members area of our website. If you take photos or use social media these policies maybe applicable to you so please familiarise yourself with them. David Robertson will discuss these policies at the next general meeting.
Saturday the 11th February is predicted to be a very hot day on the coast with temperatures hitting 40 degrees and humidity up to 75%. These conditions are such a risk to health the Committee has decided to cancel the scheduled shoot. The range will be open for individual practice only at members own risk. The canteen WON'T be manned so members will have to look after their own needs for lunch.
Aged members and parents: Please remember that the very young and the aged are more susceptible to succumbing to a heat related illness so you should think carefully about any outdoor activities when the temperature is above 34 degrees AND humidity is high. If you feel light headed, head achy or disoriented you need to immediately move yourself or your child to a cool environment and take action to cool down.
Over the past weekend at the Australia Day Tournament in Canberra Hayden shot at 1415 in the new AA50/1440 round. We believe this to be the first time one of our members has shot an official 1400.
Well done to Hayden.
Please be advised that the committee has approved a change to the dispute resolution policy to make it no longer mandatory for the parties involved to attempt resolution prior to bringing the matter to the committee. Whilst this is the preferable way to deal with disputes it did not take into account the times when someone may not feel safe or comfortable in discussing a dispute with the person they have an issue with.
Given all the great work that has been done recently in installing new target butts there is an urgent need for a working bee. This will be held starting 08:30 on Saturday Jan 21. A lot of raking needs to be done as well as other simple tasks meaning even junior members can be of great assistance. We do not think this will be a long day so a short shoot will likely be held afterwards.
If you have a steel rake please bring it along.
Members who assist in a working bee will be provided with a sausage sizzle and free shoot fees on the following Saturday.
Bow is not for sale.
1) Allen soft bow bag as new - $40
2) bow stand - $10
3) 1 kinchrome tube suitable for holding arrows - $10
