Great effort put in today by Brian and David. We managed to get 4 frames in before we had to pack up due to low light. Still need to install the back braces and shelf for holding the rubber butts but we're getting there. Won't be much longer before all fixed butts are rubber. A great part of the expense, at least for the first butts installed was due to a grant from the state government.
The last day to make renewal payments in person was today so the only way to get in before the deadline of June 30 is to pay by bank deposit into the EAC bank account with the money having to hit the account before midnight. Members who have not paid by then are classed as non-financial and are not permitted to shoot or use the range in any capacity until payment is made. Failure to pay by July 31 means that member is deemed to have lapsed and will have to pay a joining fee as well as a membership fee before being allowed to shoot.
For any members who are choosing to give archery a break, take care and remember you will be welcomed back with open arms in the future.
Kerry’s farewell details:
Date: Friday 7th June
Location: Greenway Chapel Avoca Drive Kincumber.
It is with great shock and sadness that I have to report that Kerry Dwyer passed away on Friday night 31 May at Gosford hospital due to complications with pneumonia. Kerry was not the most healthy of people but she had a heart of gold and a determination to do well at archery.
Once I become aware of funeral arrangements I will advise members.
Let Kerry's passing be a reminder to do your best with the talents you have and love others.
John Robinson is going to run a basic recurve tuning course on June 8. Please let John know if you're interested
