Don't know why. Will be rescheduled. Don't know when.
I need to remind you that the new AA rules forbid you from shooting the messenger either for real or by way of Just a heads up to give you all a bit of a reminder that membership renewal date is fast approaching. I will be sending the renewal forms at the start of June. If I am late that is because I have to now create renewals for two clubs and rejig the forms and processes to achieve this so please be patient.
Full payment of your renewal fees is due by June 30 each year. If you have not paid by June 30 your membership is classed as non-financial and you will not be able to shoot until the fees are paid in full. This is because you are not covered by our insurance unless financial. If you have not paid by July 31 your membership is deemed to have lapsed and you will have to reapply for membership and this results in a new membership application fee charged on top of the yearly fee. We urge you to take up the option to prepay shoot fees as this makes the process of getting a shoot started so much easier and it also saves you a substantial amount of money. For a $150 up front payment you can shoot every Saturday on which a club shoot is held AND are covered for mid week practice for the entire year. Do the sums. 30 weeks up front payment for up to 52 weeks shooting, sounds like a bargain to me. The fine print is that we will not give refunds for the weeks that you don't shoot or if a shoot is cancelled due to adverse weather or other reasons. ![]() The committee has authorised the purchase of an initial order of 5 Doosung front sights as shown for use on the beginner's recurve bows. Should these prove to be robust enough after a short period of testing a further order will be placed to replace the sights across the board. ![]() A nice gentleman by the name of Tim who is the Staff Coffee Drinker at Lakeside Archery is donating some old release aids for our club to hold as testing units for our beginners and those wishing to try before they buy. He is donating:
As this Saturday is the scratch competition FITA 144 shoot a BBQ will be running. Nachos will be brought back to you on Saturday March 22.
Westlakes Archers are kicking off an interclub shoot on Sunday March 16. Check the calendar for details.
Once again thanks must be given to David Robertson for his efforts in working with Westlakes to make this a reality The proposition put to the membership to create a separate entity for Competition Archers was approved by the membership at the Extraordinary GM held on Saturday March 1. The new organisation will be called "Coast Archers"
The Committee is now submitting the additional paper work to Archery NSW, NSW Fairtrading and Netregistry to make these changes official. Your treasurer is also making the necessary arrangements to create a separate bank account for this new "club". As explained at the EGM in reality very little will change for the bulk of members who choose not to compete at external competitions. Even for those who become the members of Coast Archers there is little change there beyond a small amount of paper work. |
